rainbow day…
At the start of summer, I promised my kids we would do a rainbow day….full of fun crafts, cake and cousins! Since school starts in less than one week….I had to make good on my promise.
My sister and I started to make the rainbow cake after lunch. The kids helped us stir the different cake colors…

While the cake was baking, I had to meet with a contractor regarding our construction. The meeting ran a little long so my sister was left to put the cake together. Before looking at the photo…I should share a few things about my sister.
She is….
- fun
- funny
- an amazing decorator
- a fabulous cook
- way more organized than I will ever be
- my best friend!
and evidently….not a rainbow cake maker:)
And yes, those are her fingers actually holding the cake up so it doesn’t fall off the cake stand. We laughed…and laughed…and laughed….and then we ate cake.
I can’t wait for next summer’s Rainbow Day! It is definitely going to be an annual event!!!
We did do an awesome craft…Kid Friendly Marbelized Paper. I will share how to make that in the next couple weeks!
