“Hello, my name is Lisa and I am the founder and creative director of HR Creative Design Studio. My passion is design. I started out with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Communication Arts and Graphic Design and worked in the corporate world for many years. In September of 2005 when my son was a year old, I decided to leave the corporate world to be a full time mom. Through the years, I have been designing birthday party invitations for my son’s parties as a creative outlet. After my second son was born I realized it was time to turn my passion for design into a business. In March of 2011, HR Creative Design Studio was launched on Etsy.com. I am so fortunate to be able to design every day and I love what I do. I am happy to create personalized printable party products and stationery designs as well as graphic design, logo and web graphics for my clients.”

Today I get to share some adorable party pictures from a Wild West Hoe-Down by Laura of Cupcakes and Lemonade.  Laura put this party together for her 3 daughters … and she did an amazing job.

You can tell by the smiles … it was a good day!

Laura shares some of her party details in her own words …

My favorite thing to plan every year is my 3 daughters birthday party.  Usually during the summer we start tossing around ideas and when they said cowgirl, I have to admit I was so excited!  What a fun theme and so many different things you can do with it. Hope you enjoy are Wild West Hoe Down!
When the kids entered the barn, they were given a cowboy/cowgirl hat, a bandana and a sheriff’s badge to wear.  They had a blast in the photo booth, “all gussied up.” My Dad made the most amazing wooden hobby horses for each child.  They had a chance to decorate them with googley eyes, sequins, pom poms and even yarn and fleece for manes.  They really got creative!
When they were finished decorating their horses, it was time for face painting.  Once they had their badges on and their faces painted we headed out to the ring to ride.  They all got a chance to groom and tack the horse then ride.  The horses were all dressed up with ribbons and glitter, so cute!
By this time, most everyone had worked up an appetite.  We had a make your own caramel apple station, a yummy dessert table with lots of fun sweets and if you were still hungry, you could visit the “Three Little Cowgirls General Store”  to fill your own bag full of penny candy.
This party was so much fun to plan and style.  The whole day couldn’t have been better!
Thanks to so many amazing vendors for all the extra special little touches that made my “Three Little Cowgirls” have the best birthday party ever!

A couple weeks later, these arrived in my email …

It was a cute tee when I packaged it up and shipped it off … but it just looks better on a happy birthday girl holding a giant lollipop!

It takes me a while to decorate.  I am not one of those super talented people that can shop for 2 days and …. ta da … new room!  It takes me months. I shop everything from antique sales, garage sales, discount stores and more.  Sometimes I am not actually looking for something to buy but for inspiration.  The good news for my family is that the inspiration finally hit me a couple nights ago … and I finished my corkboard wall … mostly.  I am sure I will add something in a couple months but for now … it is done!
