crafty: upcycled bad guy tee

How to make your little Superhero Bad Guy smile on his birthday…. 

Supplies:

  1. destroyed, ready for the trash, stained Star Wars tee
  2. fusible webbing
  3. grey/black ringer tee from Old Navy
  4. red thread
  5. sewing machine
  6. almost 6 year old boy having an Star Wars birthday party

and how old are you going to be….

    What is fusible webbing? I am new to sewing and would love to do this with some of my son’s spiderman shirts! Great idea!!

    Fusible webbing is a basically a glue that comes in sheets. You can buy it at Hobby Lobby and JoAnn’s as well as most fabric stores. It heats up and melts when ironed fusing the fabrics together. Here is a link to a great tutorial by Ashley of Lilblueboo…

    Once fused, I stitch around the edges. My preferred fusible webbing is called Steam A Seam 2. Hope this helps:)
